I am (was?) looking for a nice Patek "Extra" PW, preferably with observatory
papers, guillaume balance, blued steel hairspring, wolf teeth winding,
moustache compensated lever etc etc ... Found one not long ago but the price
was "a little bit" out of my reach.

But this creation by A. Lange & Söhne, Glashütte B/Dreden ... I guess it
would suit my "taste" even better but it, too, is out of reach at the moment
LOL

Seriously, an awesome piece. Thanks for posting it (and rubbing it in that
it didnt make it on my mantlepiece ;-D )

Edwin

(there was a Lange-1A too being auctioned that same day ... now ... who´s
the lucky devil that acquired that? I thought about making a bid but wasnt
sure the watch was complete; it had its original box but only much later I
learned it came with a credit card style warranty card and an owners manual)

(I must add that the Dr. Crott auction house DOES/DID respond to my e-mails.
I cant say the same with the AQ auction house. I requested information for a
certain lot auctioned off in a recent auction but never received a
reply!!??)

Just noticed this to be auctioned today: Seemingly simple. Unless one flips it over: Glashütte Carousel: WOW!!! The auction text says An important Glashuette deck watch of the "kaiserlichen Kriegsmarine" ("German Imperial navy") with carousel · sold 1908 ...
