A. Lange & Söhne

Member of WatchProsite for 19 years but I think that this is my first post in the ALS group

I have been collecting for almost 30 years and I'm unfortunate to own some fine pieces across many brands. However, I have never owned a Lange watch.

This will hopefully change soon as I'm considering 1815 Chrono.

I remember very clearly, back in 2004, when I have visited Tesorini in Las Vegas/Belagio. That was the first time I had a pleasure of admiring and holding ALS watch. I also remember how incredible the movement looked on the chronograph and due to AR coating, it almost looked like the sapphire glass was not even there.....and one could almost touch the movement I remember very clearly how mesmerized I was with the 3D structure and depth of the movement as well as all the colors.

Here we, are over 20 years later and it's possible that 1815 Chrono will become part of my collection.

I read this article very closely and I have learned a lot about different nuances and differences between thr first, second and third generation:

I was just curious what is the take of the members here on various generations of this beautiful watch. (While being new to the brand, somehow I need to say that I'm not as drawn to the second generation due to the dial layout).
