LANGE 1 TOURBILLON PERPETUAL CALENDAR "25th Anniversary" .

Apr 25, 2019,05:43 AM

The 4th opus of the 25th anniversary line has just been unveiled, with the  Lange 1 Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar "25th Anniversary".

You will find the aesthetics of the former three pieces from this line, with a silver dial made of solid silver, the blue hour markers, hands, date, indices and months, the charming moon phase and the Lange One Moon Phase 25th Anniversary.

Same for the movement, with the blue engravings and 25 on the bridge over the wheel and the balance cock.

A closer look at the movement, the L082.1... With its tourbillon which has the good taste to be on the back side, but its rotor which is not my taste. I much prefer the three quarter rotor from the german brand.

The case is 41, 9 x 12, 2 mm, in white gold.

It is a limited edition of 25 pieces.

To tell you the truth, I am still waiting for the 25th Anniversary which will steal my heart...

Best,

Nicolas

Wishing they do something in honey gold (not likely, all white gold so far), a white/blue Zeitwerk, an enamel dial or MOP, or something completely new for the last installment! Best, Manuel

I am waiting for the enamel one,

With red or blue markings?

Without question a very beautiful piece, but...

... the month indications between September and January drive me crazy, even though there may be some traditional reasons for printing them this way. To me it’s very distracting. Everything else looks gorgeous. Cheers Henrik

I think you're reading it wrong.

That outer disc rotates within the perimeter of the rehaut, so September through January would otherwise be upside down when indicated at the 6 o'clock marker. Based on this design architecture, I think Sep to Jan has to read the current way to make any s...

Very true.

Gorgeous edition

Yes, I see the logic and idea behind it...

No message body

Still not very exciting on the 25 anniversary series

For this particular piece, they should do a non tourbillon version

Beautiful no doubt.

But I am actually getting a little fatigued thinking of 10 Lange 1 anniversary models all in white gold with blue printing. Hope they change it up somehow.

Agree...

...to a certain point. The 'all blue' is very bland...too monochromatic. There is no contrast in any of these models. That said, I've seen the 'normal' PC Tourbillon in person and it is outstanding. If I had the funds it would be in the mix of favorites t...

Platinum

The normal Platinum was outstanding when I tried it on my wrist and the price keeps coming down on the secondary market. I do also wait for the day when the watch is released without a turbo

+1. I love Lange, but these L1 anniversaries are recycled pieces with modified aesthetics.

Very nice pieces, but besides limited editions, IMHO they are lacking the special and unique qualities one would hope for in this 25th celebration.
