If I may add a few things on the accuracy:
Unfortunately the precise change is not always the case. It highly depends on the adjustment made by watchmaker, and the age of the watch as I experienced. None of the pieces I've had the chance to handle changed at midnight unfortunately.
If yours strictly jumps at midnight, then I have an idea who assembled yours 
)

PS: you like heavy weights . That is a very, very desirable box with many grails...I would dream to own that 5270P, 5236P or this Lange 1 PC, just one will do.

I've seen this one along side the salmon dial version and prefer this one!
I’ve hesitated a lot with the salmon.
But at the end of the day I decided it might compete too much with my 5270. Thanks for the kind words.
You made the right move
You don't want those two battling one another, you want them each in their own place. And the warmth of rose gold brown dial is a really really good place for that spectacular L1 to be!

I often compare the L1 PC with my Patek 5236: They both have the same functionality but could not be more different. While the Lange has an amazing display, the Patek probably has it beat on the back side with that lovely platinum micro-rotor: Cheers. ...

This Lange has it all. A beautiful movement, a superb dial and technically an outstanding watch. Congrats to such a watch!

Yes, the calendar, in my experience, changes exactly at midnight. The salmon dial is absolutely stunning as well and I hesitated quite a bit but I have a Patek 5270P with a salmon dial and I try to keep internal competition within the collection to a mini...
