A keeper indeed! Happy New Year, and I hope you continue to enjoy that fine watch! Something...

... interesting and fun about the Striking Time is the manually activated chime -- the pushbutton. Pushing this button will sometimes activate only the left gong, sometimes activate only the right gong, and sometimes activate both gongs simultaneously. The choice of gong depends upon the time displayed on the dial.
I was reminded of this last week, when I had the opportunity to compare the sound of the WG vs. the PT Striking Time. At first I was surprised by how much fuller and richer the WG version sounded. I thought it was due to the greater density of the PT case or something. There was a huge difference in sound. But then I realized that both gongs were being activated in the WG, whilst only one gong was being activated in the PT (because they were set for different times). When I set them to the same time and activated the gongs, the sound between WG vs. PT was indistinguishable to me.
