Where did you read or hear that?

I thought Lange cases were made by a third party.

“for a Lange.” Not too big, not too small.

A lovely piece!

You two must be geniuses, since geniuses think alike!

😂.. I am sure we don’t mind being called geniuses!

We are not the first ones here to appreciate this version. I do feel though it wa/is a late bloomer wrt to other Langes. I really love the idea of data hierarchy, having the most important piece of data the most prominent and legible.

A top qp!

Thanks TCF! Of course Lange 1 QP is

Over the beautiful monochromatic L1 of yours!

Couldn’t stay back; let me join the party

My daily beater for so many years 😊 ...

Love the scratches!

I prefer the look of a well-worn watch like this. Will you keep it that way, or have it polished when it get serviced? I know what I'd (not) do!

why not get it polished?

lange & sohne adds material back for the deep scratches so you not really losing metal right?

Where did you read or hear that?

I thought Lange cases were made by a third party.

They are indeed 3rd party, but

They do refurbishing up to factory with laser welding

Yes, and it looks great except for one thing: I believe Lange cannot restore "crispness" to the lug chamfers (top outside of the lugs).

 By: CR : May 13th, 2023-14:51
This has been my experience. If the lugs are overpolished (or perhaps dented and require laser welding), Lange's case refurbishment cannot restore the crispness to the chamfers. The lug chamfers will remain noticeably more rounded than "factory-fresh" lug...

Totally agree!

 By: Darron : May 13th, 2023-13:29

No reason. If you prefer the look of a new watch, then case refurbishment is the way to go!

 By: CR : May 13th, 2023-14:03
The only reason to not refurbish the case is if you prefer the look of "your" watch, with all of its little markings. This is my preference. I always write "PLEASE DO NOT POLISH OR TOUCH CASE" when getting watches serviced. Just personal preference of cou...

Yeah for me, with only a handful of watches,

 By: Darron : May 13th, 2023-13:29
I would probably polish with laser welding

Plan to get it polished!

Starting to look very “worn out”. Plan to drop off with NY boutique next month. I am dreading the time it’s going to be away because they told me it has to go to Germany

Ah ok! I'm sure you will enjoy it. I love the "very worn out" look :)

 By: CR : May 13th, 2023-13:58
As others said, Lange will laser-weld as needed and make the case look good as new.

You guys are making us jealous....

But don't get me wrong, I'm far from complaining! Please keep the pictures of this amazing Perpetual coming!

Thanks Rhyzen! Still would love to see
