Richard Lange ------ WOW!!!!

So I have always been impressed with the Lange brand -- just never bought into one. The sizes never really fit me right (to me) as I tend to like larger watches (40+mm). I have no real need for a nice dress watch (I have one each in Plat, RG and YG, so I have all metals covered) and so casual watches is what I like to collect. I had read about the RL, and up until Monday I had never had an opportunity to see one in the metal. I was in my local AD looking at what was new, and the great salesman said that they had just gotten in one that was not spoken for in Platinum. I asked to see it ----- he brought it out. I was taken aback by how much I liked this watch. I had never felt a watch that had such 'presence', and this includes the previous Langes that I have tried on (Mostly Lange 1 and Datos) and my personal Patek (5135R). Even though I personally do not like Roman Numerals (I strongly prefer Arabics) something about this watch really spoke to me. Can I say that I really wanted it? It seems a lot for a time-only watch, and I really wish that it was available in WG because the price premium in the USA is pretty extreme, and I tend to like the white metals.

Too bad it was not in the budget this year -- although if they launch a WG version at Basel/SIHH then I might have to reconsider.

Thanks for reading,

Blake
