Perfect size and proportions; beautiful hand-wound movement; blued hands; useful power reserve indicator. Overall a very nice watch. Congrats. Cheers, John

Awesome.

That\'s the one I want too

I am also currently thinking about this watch

I managed to try it on when in Italy recently. I instantly fell in love with it and now I have the itch to get it. May I ask if you managed to get this in the pre-owned market as it does not usually come with the deployant? The addition of the clasp will ...

Congratulations! That's a bullet we all would like to bite

With a cool second hand complication. Enjoy it!

it does exactly what it says on the tin: tradition state of the art

and it stops exactly at 60 sec if power reserve is low. The system for this "complication" is on the dial side of the movement and I can see how it is done but still I am thinking about how this can be. Congratulations to a fantastic Lange and in my opini...

I'll let the picture do the talk...

Regards, skyeriding ...

hang on: it is not that easy :-)

By: COUNT DE MONET : January 28th, 2017-00:27
We all know how accurate a mechanical watch can be but it is still not 100%. We certainly understand the picture but if you think about it: the watch must beat with 100% accuracy so that the calculated missing teeth of the main barrel stop the watch at 60...

Nice trick question

 By: skyeriding : January 28th, 2017-03:31
That is not the mainspring barrel with missing teeth, but actually part of the differential gearing that is on top, hiding the mainspring barrel underneath! This is why the level will always drop when reserve is low, just as how it is directly coupled to ...

o.k., but why does it stop at 60 sec was my question? This was and is still not a trick question :-)

By: COUNT DE MONET : January 28th, 2017-06:05
If you have the full explanation available to read than I would appreciate it certainly. The missing teeth are on the PLM main barrel, if I recollect correctly and hence my connection to this piece. But as I mentioned: the PLM does it differently to this ...

I don't see why they are different...

 By: skyeriding : January 28th, 2017-09:50
I'm sure they work on the same principle. Even the Lange 1 (2015). Let's revisit first, here is the plm. I'll try explain from the start so we have a whole big picture of how it works: As a minor correction - the missing teeth are not on the main barrel (...

I have understood it completely now: thank you for that

By: COUNT DE MONET : January 28th, 2017-10:38
I recall your picture of the PLM and remembered also the pawl on the second hand of the plm. And this pawl hits the lever , vice versa, at position 60 and hence the watch stops at 60. I remembered also that you said the teeth are missing on the barrel dir...

although: I think I know how it can work

By: COUNT DE MONET : January 28th, 2017-09:30
The other end of the lever, that falls into the teeth, will hit a pivot that is positioned at 60 sec on the second wheel and hence it stops at 60 seconds. Or?

Love it!

Interesting, my first Lange was also the up and down model, but the older version: And as the others said: Once you are on a train to Glashütte, it never stops: Cheers, Adam ...

I ordered a more sporty blue strap and will post future pics
