For me, there are two kinds of travel watches…

1. Those lovely pieces showing various times simultaneously, often equipped with a map, such as the Geophysic Travel Time or a PP 5935A. These are IMHO perfect when dealing with people all over the world and thinking about the right time for Teams meetings etc.
2. And then there is the category of travel time watches when you are actually traveling - mostly equipped with two or more dials / hour hands etc. The Lange 1 shown here certainly is meant to be rather that; and for such a watch, in particular from a German brand, not linking the local time to the date is a flaw I simply cannot get over.
But then again, it is all about taste and personal preference smile

I walked into this store for a completely different watch.

And then was completely surprised with this gem. Since I also found a gorgeous Breguet Tourbillon in the same shop, I now have a few things to think about. This ALS is really impressive and also looks very modern with the black dial and the brown leather ...

This is a very interesting piece IMHO. You are right that you can advance the local time only in one direction which means that 23 pushes are necessary in a worst case scenario. The one I sampled about a week ago also had a rather resistant pusher so that...

Thanks a lot, Felix!

For me this watch is undeniable a breathtaking beauty. But it also has some...quirks that make it impractical for me for everyday travel use. All the best and enjoy your Sunday, Thomas

Yes, of course!

I put the pictures in the Breguet forum. 😉

Impeccable taste Thomas!

My experience based on the 1st generation Time Zone: 1) The pusher at 8 o'clock to advance the cities is indeed more resistant. It's very distinctive when compared to the buttery-smooth pusher at 10 o'clock. 2) Unfortunately, the cities can only be advanc...

Thanks a lot, my friend,

especially for your really valuable tips. This watch is wonderfully handcrafted with a beautiful dial. Wear comfort also seems very good (although I only had the watch on my wrist for a few minutes). The not very practical functionality for (uncomplicated...

Awesome. I like yours a lot more than the 1st gen

Fit for Bruce Wayne

Yes, optically the watch is awesome!

And the movement is a dream. For me, a watch must also have flawless functionality. And to be honest, I'm not entirely convinced...

What a catch! Congrats!

No catch.

Just touching and trying. 😎

Once I had a parship therapy.

One of the main insights was that a large part of our relationships consists of projections of one's own ideas and desires. Hahahaha 🙏

So true!

Perhaps the stiffness of the city pusher ...

is by design, so that it doesn't get actuated inadvertently. I'm just guessing ... If you are looking for a travel watch, it's hard to beat Rolex GMT/Exp II models in terms of functionality. They are even better than Sky-dwellers, which have some limitati...

attractive WT. ☺️ P.S.: The pushers on the ALS were really extremely hard to press. You could only move the city ring with great effort. If that's really the intention, I think they have exaggerated. Or is there another reason behind it? According to the ...

Love watches with maps on the dial! Another example is JLC Geophysic World time. Enjoy the hunt!

As a happy owner of the JLC Geophysic World Time, I fully agree!

That's one of my targets.

Mine too!

That was such a gem! Two complications in a steel case and priced very reasonably! If I recall correctly, the movement was quite special too.

Post some pics ...

I tried the Patek WT. It was smoother.

 By: MTR : October 31st, 2022-06:49
The disc of this ALS moved harder, the pusher was much stiffer.

Which one?

 By: amanico : October 31st, 2022-17:18

It’s not that hard or difficult, come on…if you can do push ups or plank, you can do it 😅

 By: Clueless_Collector : October 30th, 2022-22:56
The main dial time can be changed from home to the local time but i usually keep it and use the small dial for travel time or the “local”. Since date change is also easy with the pusher, I’ll just press x 31 time so I push over, only takes less than a min...
