That someday soon, this variation of the Richard Lange gets introduced into the collection! White gold on a black dial ala Darth style, anyone? I will be the first person at my AD to purchase the watch if ever, hope someone from the Lange team sees this!!...

white metal, I don´t care - in that case Oliver
In theory

that would be a KILLING combination. However, looking at the dials from the RL PLM, I'm not so sure if the quality would be up to it.
I think they could do it perfectly ...

not only in theory. Perfection does not mean boring or dead, from my point of view. Sometimes tiny (sophisticated?!) flaws can be sexy if they are a tricky part of the story/material/procedure ... Even "Supermodels" have flaws and we love them even more b...
I don't doubt a bit that

they could have done a much better job as I was drawing my conclusion when I compared the dial from the Langematic Anniversary model and the RL PLM. As to your point of beauty in the form of small imperfection, I'm afraid what I witnessed was far from 'sm...
Seems like we saw totally different pieces.
By: small-luxury-world : May 6th, 2012-08:32
The Anniversary piece was much simpler to do, because it was only two pieces. All of them are not produced inhouse and at the end of the day it is a question of money. Most of the suppliers don´t like those jobs ;-) Quite often it is a bad businesscase fo...
Agree that the 3 part dial

on the RL PLM is a lot more challenging to do but we're talking about much higher price point for the RL PLM. While we don't necessarily want to venture into the compoenent pricing discussion, I can't accept the dials that I've witnessed, from a perspetiv...

I, too, love this design. A lot. At one point, I decided to wait for the WG Richard Lange, but eventually broke down and got the Pt version. I'm happy that I did not wait for WG, and here's why: I think it is very likely that Lange will never make this wa...
