Emil Lange

A friend has asked if I am interested in the Emil Lange. If yes, I have to give a reasonable offer. It’s just stunning and especially with the “12” having a patina. I don’t think I can pass on this but I’m caught in dilemma in making an offer. ...

Very nice, go for it.....

do you 💜 it?

difficult to make a suggestion without knowing your collection, goals, price point etc. For me would be a very easy pass but if you 💜 it should go for it!

I'm a fan here

Although I don't need the numerals in the sub seconds

That is a special one

I wore the 36 mm 1815 for a couple years. Then bought the 38.5 mm 1815, which I much preferred in size. Id only go for it if it sings to you! Good luck and let us know

38.5mm from lange wears kinda small too!

from the photo provided 36mm seems really small

38.5 ALS wears perfect for me

...

it looks great on you! I am used to 42mm and even 43mm

 By: christianch : May 7th, 2023-21:24
so now ( just tried the lange 1 again) 38.5 looks a tad small but not bad. 36mm would definitely be pushing it so would be a no for me. At any price

Hard time, finding a reasonable offer.

They have jumped quite a bit in price, but with box and papers it is a sensible purchase. Fits very nicely on you wrist.

With regard to size, I find that a Lange will always wear larger than its case size due to its lug profile.

From your photo, I’d say this one fits your wrist rather well.

I’d also add

That it fits your wrist well, from that photo!

Thanks in advance for not discussing prices here. You can't go wrong with this watch!...

The Emil Lange 1815 Moonphase in rose gold is, in my opinion, the warmest and most whimsical watch Lange has produced. The patina on the "12" is common (now that the watch is 24 years old) and very striking. You can see it in this old pic below. The patin...

Yes I agree, prices serve a purpose here and in many cases, and personally I enjoy talking about prices! But let's not do that here publicly on the forum.

We can give the OP (tembusu92) our same opinions about pricing privately. I messaged tembusu92 to say that I am happy to discuss prices privately. Other forum members who are familiar with the secondary market can message him as well. We just don't want t...

well as a moderator you have the last say :) to me a topic just about prices would be damaging but...

in the context of asking an opinion about buying or not a watch the pricing can be important. Also from a visitor (like me) it is always interesting to know but well..your forum your rules 😅

Yes, I understand and apologize, and I appreciate your reply, Christian.

Posts inviting monetary discussions are tricky, especially when it comes to inquires about specific transactions. Because the OP (tembusu92) is a longer-term member and not a first-time poster on WPS, I should have said nothing about prices proactively an...

No need to apologize, thank you for providing some context

I completely understand. When we talk about the price, the conversation could easily have turned into whether it's too costly or surprisingly affordable. It seems I didn't quite grasp the "making an offer" part. I initially thought it was about figuring o...
