Zeitwerk issues

Apr 26, 2011,11:50 AM

I really do not know if the slow delivery is related to some movement issues, but I purchased mine Zeitwerk just after it was released and I had to send it back to Glashuette to fix the jumping mechanism.

Since beginning I noticed the watch lost 1 hour in less than 2 days. I thought maybe the crown released accidentally. But some day later I saw the main jump was unable to complete. The hour digit stuck when the 3 disks supposed to jump together. Few days later the movement was completely inoperative.

I am not yet with the watch to know if it will perform properly.

Best regards,

Marcelo

Problems with the Zeitwerk?

 By: ArthurSG : April 23rd, 2011-20:59
I was told by an AD yesterday that there is a problem (s) with the Zeitwerk and hence the slow delivery while Lange works it out. Is this true and if so, what's the issue(s)?

I got the same answer

I got 2 answers actually by 2 different AD, 1. Some problem with the movement, and also they recall some of them, this I am not sure, anyone experiencing this. 2. Zeitwerk is only reserved for Lange collectors who already own more than 2-3 pcs, same like ...

The only problem...

is that the ZW is such a successful model that Lange can't satisfy all the customers.

The production of the Zeitwerk is slow.

Because it is a watch which takes time to be produced. It is as complex as the Lange 31 days due to the constant force system + the specific time display. Moreover, as it was said, it is a very successful watch. But Lange can't produce them at a higher sp...

Problems? All going well here.

with two ZW's know with know issues and have a friend that wears one daily with no issues. BTW anyone that has the funds and the good fortune to find a lange dealer with one can buy it as far as Lange is concerned, of course the AD might reserve the piece...

The Zeitwerk is a great watch...

But Lange can't make them fast enough. Production is slow and demand is high. As with most Lange watches, when they make it, it works -- period. I own three Lange's and never had a problem -- ever. Sorry to hear about my friend's problem above, but that i...
