.
Hello fellow purist
I have a new pocketwatch which I think is an A1 anker chronometer
My question is about the dial and spefically the red writing anti- magnetisch on the dial .
I have searched in the watch catalogus of auction houses and online .
I found that L&S made anti magnetic pocket watches but not one has the writing on the dial. Also I cannot find further information on L&S and anti magnetism.
Also it has the anti magnetic features of paladium balance wheel and lever.
Is there a significance to the mention of anti magnetisch ?
And like milgauss why is antimagnetic always written in red?
I think it is important because vacheron claimed to have the first truly anti magnetic pocket watch .
This Lange & Söhne is dated late 1910...
Thanks in advance.
