Which one would you buy and why? Fifty Fathoms (43 mm) or Air Command (42.5 mm)?

Have a look at the bezel play, the date alignment and the printing itself.

Especially if cheaper brands do it better! It’s not like that it’s hard to do.
These specific models, especially the Bathyscaphe wear bigger. Thin bezel and empty dial do the magic.
Also GO and Grand Seiko do much better in this price range.
My personal experience is the exact opposite.
The FF I wear with pride for almost 14 months has an excellent quality (case, dial, movement etc). And it’s extremely accurate. (+1 sec in 48 hours). How do you come up with your opinion? Best Thomas ...

They’re nothing special. Even Omega offers more refined case finishings.

As a current owner and past owner of several FFs I never had an issue and in fact they are some of the most accurate timekeepers I have ever owned, I find the quality phenomenal from movement to case to dial to bracelet or nato strap.

Air Command
It’s not really an 🍎 to 🍎 comparison…if a different FF model than the bathyscaphe I’d choose the diver but to me this is kind of a compromise so I prefer the flight model.

The FF Desert is almost perfect. The case is too rough polished. I want something rounder, not so sharp. More elegant case, and mirror polished. Rolex and Omega are the brands that do this the way i like.
Air Command I’d get
I like the calibre, being higher frequency and a flyback. The water resistance good too. My only gripe of the air command when compared to the bathyscaphe is the shorter power reserve of 50h vs 120h.

Bc you could Flyback all day! The bathyscaphe is impressive, but the date position and vertical brushed dial texture are a turn off for me
