So while in London, I went to two fantastic watch shops, one was William and Son, the other was Aspery. The staff at both were extremely nice and allowed me to try on many beautiful watches even though they knew I could not afford them. Extremely respectful and kind. So here I am showing you guys these beautiful watches. I will say that trying on the Debethune reconfirms my love and appreciation for the brand. The Debethune was my faviorite out of the three watches I tried on but not because the other watches were less amazing but because of personal taste. The Debethune (and to a lesser extent the Bovet) was like a Brueghel while the Romain Gauthier was like a Raphael, both wonderful painters but one artist favored simplicity and balance (Raphael/Romain Gauthier) while the other, detailed compositions with various levels of depth (Brueghel, De Bethune/Bovet). However, the Romain Gauthier was, I believe, a bit finer finished but that does not diminish the level of finish on either the Bovet or Debethune, especially Bovet as the one I saw was not made by the manufacture and used a movement that was not in-house (I am now in Taipei and saw a really special Bovet with amazing finishing/inhouse movement that I will post about latter). Again, wonderful watches and amazing service.
