A try on a photo with zoom.

Jul 21, 2019,03:23 AM

I am testing the limits of my D Lux 6. For sceneries, when you want to take some pictures with distance, you have no other choice than use the zoom.

That's maybe a good reason to get a second camera.

Wbat do you think?

The Jardins du Luxembourg trees, then the Eiffel Tower, then on the right, the Invalides Dome, then on the background, the Trocadero, between the Eiffel Tower and the Invalides.

The buildings are well captured, the trees, too. The Eiffel tower is limit in terms of quality, but the Trocadero is not so neat...

Best,

Nicolas

Do you know the man with leopard shorts in the Lux. Park? Saw him some years ago.

Never saw him! [nt]

You can outfit yourself with the M10,

 By: TheMadDruid : July 21st, 2019-08:48
a 28, 50, 90 and 135mm lenses, probably second hand and all in exceptional shape, for less than a Duometré. Now, if I was truly a Vlad, like you, I’d suggest you get the Duometré as well. But that’s not me.

But this isn't an M10, is it?

I thought the M10 has the ISO selector wheel on the left upper case side. This one appears to be an M-9P. Marcus

To me Leica has a "strange" naming system

The photo by RG1 in a previous post (model not defined in that post) could also be the LEICA-M-MONOCHROM-Typ-246. Photos below from the Leica USA web site. For reference, below is the M10 Note upper right of the camera... Casey ...

Indeed. Especially now, when they - partially - discarded the "type xxx" designation ...

... and returned to the previous continuous numbers. Marcus

Hi

This is my MP-240 and not M10. I suggest Nicolas to buy M10 with 35 mm lens.

Thanks, Marcus. [nt]

Nice composition — covers a lot of real estate!

Thanks for sharing it. I have the D-Luxe 109. I bought it for its relative simplicity, value, ease of carry on travel, and portrait/scenic photos. When I was in Africa, I missed having a longer lens but those opportunities do not happen often for me. Here...

Yes, a longer lens will be welcome.

Thanks for your picture, Orahu. Best, Nicolas

Nice shot Nico!

Time to come back, maybe next spring.

The tower is not bad for a compressed / resized internet JPG

 By: cshimokita : July 21st, 2019-15:45
It also depends on your image configuration... and amount / type of zoom. It would be interesting to compare a shot done at largest / max in-camera JPG file size, max optical zoom (don't use digital zoom). Then crop to the area around the tower before upl...

I will try that! [nt]

My friend Now dont hesitate to get another cam, may be a GFX 50R he....he.....

So what I have learned here today is Leica = Rolex for mysterious names and nicknames

Is there a Kermit Flat Four Leica, or Smurf? Headscratching... Cazalea
