Description

For sale is a now SOLD OUT and HIGHLY COLLECTIBLE IWC Da Vinci Perpetual Calendar Kurt Klaus Limited Edition Stainless Steel for $16,800. MSRP $24,000.

Kurt Klaus was the innovator behind IWC's horological achievements in the last 50 years. Amongst his other accomplishments, he created the original perpetual calendar module for IWC in the mid eighties. To pay tribute to Kurt Klaus, IWC took the movement and housed it inside the new tonneau shaped Da Vinci case.

I purchased the watch in Dec 2008 from an AD and wore only a few times. The watch can qualified as brand new if not for the few times that I have worn it.  Complete with boxes and papers. There is still time left on the warranty.

Please PM me for more pics. Serious inquiry only. I am selling this watch to fund another purchase, so all reasonable offers will be considered.

Face to face deal possible in the Bay Area and New York.  Between Jun 15 to Jun 21, face to face deal can also be arranged in HK.  Thank you for looking.

In your opinion what are today's exclusive complications that are within reach?
30+ years ago, a fairly common consensus was the Rattrapante (until simplification via IWC's 3711), or the tourbillon that's now available via suppliers for many middle-tier brands, or the perpetual calendar (again, simplified by IWC's da vinci) that can now be found on the secondary market for less

She has arrived today!!
And thank God she is in excellent condition. The Watch is NOS (new, never worn). However, it has been stored for 15 years. The box is in bad condition, but all papers exist. Usually I don't do that (to buy on suspicion). I saw this watch many years ago and otherwise only know pictures from the Inter

An old love: IWC Portuguese 7 Days Perpetual Calendar platinum, LE of 250 pieces, year 2003.
When it was issued, this Portuguese 7 Days Perpetual Calendar took my heart. Love at first sight. Ok, the case is big ( 44, 2 mm ) and thick( 15, 5 mm ), but the dial is so clean, elegant and cool. And at that time, having 2 moon phase, one for each hemisphere, wasn't that that common. Credit pictur
