Blancpain Aqualung

An early 1970's Blancpain Aqualung. This beautiful watch has just come back from it's first trip to a watchmaker in at least 20 years. She got her crystal polished and the keyless works repaired, and now she's running and looking great! Smaller than the now-popular large watches, this one comes in at an understated 37mm. Not flashy, just a well-built machine.

         I was told I'm the second person to have this watch since it was bought, but I'm not sure how I could confirm it. She comes with the original box, still in great condition for display. Original band, however, has long since disappeared. The one displayed in the pictures is a cheap broken piece that I put on just for display. She would look equally nice on a leather, rubber, or nylon NATO style band...

Caseback has some slight exterior pitting. Bezel has a light bit of scratching for her age. Crystal was just polished and clean. Gray face has little to no fading. Overall, very clean given it's 35-40 years!
