Last night a select few of us (few than usual, I think winter attrition has set in), gathered in our favourite dingy pub, and talked (watch)shop. As all the real photographers were absent, we've only got a few iphone pics, but here they are! It was a trea...

You're killing me!

:-) I was just about out the door and on my way to the GTG and something unexpected detained me. Darn! Ultrathin and ultrafat. Leaded and unleaded. I can see we need another 'contrasts' theme thread on HoMe. And what offspring are you expecting from the u...

The day/date was a really nice, uncommon combo.

Black dial, smooth bezel, on a strap from the factory apparently. Unlikely to ever see one quite like it again. I still think you wear that bronze PAM better than me. I think I'll stick with my MUT. grumio

I prefer to think of it as everyone doing an Anonimo :) It's pretty good for a $400 bronze watch. THOUGH. the big controversy is that Magrette and a few others (helson & benarus I believe) got stiffed by case suppliers and they're actually brass. Henc...

whilst it is true that Anonimo did a bronze watch first, so did Gerald Genta

it was the Panerai Bronzo that caught everyone's attention, and "created" a new must have genre last year till now. thanks for the info on the brass bit, didn't know that.your information came in time for me to stop one of my staff from buying a Helsons S...

The Helson Stingray is unaffected by the bronze / brass issue. In fact one batch of Helson Shark Divers was affected and these have all been recalled and replaced with true CuSn8 bronze cases under warranty. I have a second batch Shark Diver and I love it...

Wow wish i could have been there.

Monday was suposed to be my first WatchBand gig for ages and I was really looking forward to it until family comitments/lack of child care made it imposible. I would dearly liked to have seen the PAM and Magrette in person. That strap looks great on the P...

...at least my excuse for missing this month's GTG was not being in the country. August is already pencilled in the diary.
