Overseas Dual Time

 By: stevenokes : May 25th, 2017-10:51
My first post on the forum. Just bought an overseas with titanium face and rubber strap. 2014 model. Am delighted to own my first VC and, as you would expect, I am very impressed with the beauty and quality of the watch. I had to trade in my planet Ocean ...

Welcome to WatchProSite; thanks for posting

Let me be the first Moderator to welcome you. I love that watch which you have mentioned, but I have no direct experience with the deployants. I'm sure a VC expert will chime in shortly. Cazalea

Thanks

Welcomes to Forum appreciated

You will love this watch!

A hearty congrats. Great watch. As long as both straps and clasp are original VC, they are designed to be compatible and easily interchangeable. Your instinct about pricing is spot on. If you have one at your disposal, I would suggest a visit to a VC Bout...

Thanks for advice. It is a relief to hear that clasp is interchangeable. I agree that the black strap could be better and I will check it out.. I have seen and tried the watch but I cannot collect until next week and will then post some pics.

Photos or it never happened!

Is the VC Overseas Swiss chronometer certified?

 By: stevenokes : May 28th, 2017-15:46
Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, not a certified chronometer

Should however be very accurate.

Thanks

Does seem to be v accurate. Interesting that VC don't have them certified.

Only the first Overseas was rated a Chronometer

but, other than having a nice certificate, it doesn't really add to the experience IMHO. COSC standards simply aren't that impressive and VC regulates to a better level of accuracy with a bias against running slow.

Interesting - thanks [nt]

Poor pics except for the store shop of my actual watch. Can't capture the beautiful blue of the Omega. Need to get camera out and experiment. Anyhow, my little collection. Impressed with VC, sits a bit higher on the wrist than I remember and pity cannot s...

Well done

looks good. Never had this dual time version of the OS but it seems a very practical timepiece for the traveller. Looks like its gone with the newest generation :-(

Congrats !! Great choice for your first VC :)

Thanks. Have purchased a black leather strap to complement the rubber.

I also wonder what it would like with a steel strap (apart from cost..).
