Few macro shots of my Vacheron Constantin Triple Date Moonphase

Nov 04, 2016,08:50 AM

Tried to do my best with my iPhone 6S and my both magnifying glasses as usual. But hard to highlight the very nice dial of this timepiece.

Need to take some lessons with Jocke and Nilo ;-)

Hope you will enjoy.

This dial is relatively hard to take in picture as it offers a lot of reflects and contrast with the light. Best wishes Alkiro

My pleasure Cirotti

But be honest, it's so uncomfortable. While macros are the best way to enjoy the superb finishing of our watches....and share them with our fellows.

Very nice VC for sure...

Of course 6S is nice and magnifying lens gives interesting results but thank God you can't get the same result as with a real camera with a great lens and pro lighting. So yes it is a question of material + also know-how. I agree with you Jocke and Nilo a...

Thank you very much Mike for your kind words

I agree with you but, nevertheless, I think within the next 5 years, smart phones will be closer and closer of camera results. And, to be honest, smart phones are easier to use no? ;-) Best wishes Alkiro

Smartphones easier to use than full camera set, yes for sure there is no doubt

and their qualty is indeed getting better and better, but it's not actual photography. It just depends what you want to do, what result you expect... But neither in 5 nor in 10 years you will be able to get pics like the ones Jocke is offering us to see. ...

Yes I am agree with you. I know that when you want to exceed a certain level or quality in photography you have to use a true camera instead of a smartphone.

And equipment is not sufficient. Photography is a true art so you have to learn and learn every time for sure (it works for many other fields of course). But for the moment (may be one day in the future), I don\'t want to invest in a camera + equipment. M...

Even without talking the financial investment involved (which can rapidly become an issue...), photography can be a nice hobby but takes time and is hard work even if you like it ; but it can also be pain in the ... if you don't enjoy it. It takes a lot o...

 By: mdg : November 9th, 2016-22:16
...my favorite VC. I first saw one (pre-owned) in a shop in Palm Beach many years ago. Alas, I was \'poor\' at the time, but I still regret not selling everything I had to buy it. It was YG and the color of the blue in the sky is still the most beautiful ...

Many thanks mdg for your kind words

Well, I hope you will have the opportunity to buy your young dream one day. You are true about the blue of the Moonphase. It is stunning. And the dial too ;-) Best wishes Alkiro

With dials like these, VC goes higher and higher in my esteem
