I don't pretend to know 'what it takes' to offer ten new models at once like this... and perhaps the market necessitates this... ( I do understand the profit motive...)
But... be careful VC... too many variants dilute the model and even the brand...
I continually reference Dufour and earlier VC and Patek ( pre 2000's) where you could not find 17 variants of models...
generally speaking anyway...
To me, it feels 'slutty'. haha. Too eager.
I can recall not really long ago where the GREAT SWISS HOUSES would deny you a wish... they would say NO, we won't make that variant...
I love those old ways! The exclusivity and limit of that.
The personal vision of that attitude.
Like a great chef won't put tomatoes on his Caesar salad just because you are 'rich' and asked for tomatoes.
A great chef has a vision, and he is not a yes man.
When a great chef says no, you know you are in HIS or HER restaurant.
And you remember that's why you made the reservation. For his vision. Not yours.
I liked when they 'knew better.'
The house should be very exclusive, very limited.
Not 'desperate.'
The great houses are not short order cooks, and we are not in their coffee shop.
NO, you may not have that!
This VC menu is too broad... it seems to say, whatever you want, we have it! It seems to say, we'll do anything to please you!
That's great. But I prefer the slightly cold, personal pure vision.
Just my thoughts.... respectfully to VC!
say no sometimes.
