My feelings have changed about the Executive Skeleton Tourbillon

Arie posted on this watch recently, and like others, I was a bit disturbed by the large rectangle on the dial. The strap attachment is also a different style than we are used to, and maybe a bit odd.
On my recent visit to Bermuda to support the UN sponsored Team Artemis boat, I came across the titanium and blue ceramic version of this watch. In fact, I saw it on someone's wrist and thought "whoa, what is that?" Very alluring from a few feet away.
I was able to examine it up close and can only say that in person the watch is much better than in photos. I took some anyways, they seem to highlight the rectangle as other photos have. But live, on the wrist, it really was a great looking watch. I am generally not a fan of such airy and open pieces, but it really works OK on this Ulysse Nardin model. The color and finish of the titanium case middle is cool, and the color is a bit darker than we are used to. Even the strap attachment seemed OK, although the woven pattern on this style does accentuate the 2 strips that insert into the case. The movement is striking, and has a power reserve of 1 full week.
Overall, a compelling option that just looks very good on the wrist, where it most counts.
