Dear All

I am sorry that the information on these models had to appear on the Purists in this way.  The Purists ALWAYS HAVE, and ALWAYS WILL, respect moratorium dates on new product releases.  To suggest otherwise is simply a statement of ignorance on the parties that do so.

As to Valery's post.  He did get the photos off another web site (the date/time stamps will show that).  Someone else leaked the photos and then Valery simply copied and posted here.  Hence, accusations made on other web sites are simply aimed, not at us, but the offending web site that leaked the information.

I have been in possession of the information on these watches for some time.  I have seen the RM011 grow in terms of development since last year and despite questions to me on this forum, I have never leaked any information about the watch.  I have had a chat with Theodore Diehl (RM Press Relations Officer) and understandably he is frustrated and cross at the situation.  Months (a year) of planning has all gone.

In future, when new models are about to be released, I would appreciate that even if members of this forum do come into possession of photos of the watches, that they CHECK WITH ME first before posting.  I have no pride in this.  However, I will not see us break the moratorium dates.  In this instance, I have been out of pocket for the past 24 hours or so.  Otherwise, I would have attempted to pull the post before anyone could see it.

While I appreciate the enthusiasm and loyalty of the RM enthusiasts here, as this is what keeps me as the Moderator, PLEASE, do not move to post about upcoming or new products without checking with me (by email) first.

Thank you for your understanding.  As soon as I can, Ill post the technical details and other thoughts on the RM011 and RM016.

Andrew H

Thanks Valery, This is a facinating devlopment. I never know what to expect next from Richard Mille, but certainly a modular chronograph and an ultrathin would never have occurred to me. Do you have any details about these pieces? Is the chronograph modul...

... who is SERIOUSLY bothered by the labes on the chrono pushers? Seriously, the chrono watch is gorgeous, and I would seriously consider plunking down the undoubtedly large amount of cash it would take to get one, but not with those buttons!!! Someone sh...

From elsewhere, it seems that these photos were 'taken' from the Mille FTP servers and have not been officially released. Andrew: Do you have any info on when this will be official and more info available from the Mille folks? Nice to see the new design o...

A contrarian view

 By: SJX : March 3rd, 2007-06:58
I love RM watches for their style, and if I could afford it I would buy one of their tourbillons in a heartbeat. BUT These two new watches are something of a disappointment. Perhaps because RM has set the bar so high, a modular chronograph with an annual ...

You may be so right SJX

I feel the same way. The RM is the 02, 01 and the 04. Commercialism aside. The 05 and its offspring, is a genius that rivals both Panerai and Franck Muller...good work and great marketing. But the only RM for me is the 02. The strange thing is...I will ge...

Love the RM 016

and I was never a real fan of Richard Mille. I respected his craftmanship a lot, but the watches did not do me a lot, untill the 016. Geo
