Well

I cale acties this old post and deels I never answered
The thing is that via my AD I got in contact with the Rolex / Tudor headquarter for my country
I could not imagine they still would have some NOS cause I would think they would first sell the old eta watches and only when these were sold start to deliver the new in-house
Remember they stopped the eta production in 2016 so I did not expect to find unsold stock 2 years later
Anyway.... they still had I believe 11 on strap and 9 on bracelet
Took them all and divided them between my friend collectors
They would not let me buy 20 pieces at once but my AD knows me and most of the people I offered one
So my AD convinced Tudor that all those pieces went to serious collectors and not 1 big flipper
That’s how we got them 😘

Since quite some time I was looking for a Tudor Black Bay. Not difficult to find, unless you want an ETA based one AND you also decided you only want the BLACK Bezel. Aka the 79220N. Honestly I emailed a lot of Tudor dealers in several countries ( Spain, ...

I'm sure I'll add the in-house too

Do you know how many of this specific model have been made in only 5 months? Best wishes Alkiro

Is what I read on many forums and 3000 is nothing for such a brand. But since this is not official I didn't want to mention the number ;-) Another rumor is that they wanted to make the black bezel/red dot to launch the new in-house mouvement but they stil...

Very interesting. Thank you for the info

glad to hear this from the master ;-)

A solution and easy way

Sounds like an easy way to get hold of these watches. It takes away the fun of the "hunt" but the trophies make up for that. Have you doubled the number of these watches on the planet? Regards, MTF

This 79220N is indeed very rare and I was scanning Ebay and Chrono24 too for a few months, without success. In my humble opinion I think there are far less made then 3000. I asked a few friend AD’s and most they received in the production period was max 2...

well done WSA [nt]

Does the reference number apply to both the steel bracelet and leather strap versions? Are there different references based on the strap?

Are both steel and strap version equally collectible? I think that both were made during its short run. I can’t seem to distinguish between the two in terms of collectibility.
