Hi Georges, thanks for the suggestions, which are obvious and I should have asked at the time, but no I did not see any pix of the movement, crown or case. I can take some added pix if I go back to see it again though. I should probably also get a serial number as well, yes? I assume I can check the legitimacy that way as well, though I understand it would not tell me if non-Rolex parts have been used in the movement.
Re: servicing invoices, the seller said he has had his local watchmaker clean/service it but only basic cleaning type servicing, no parts replacement that I am aware of. I know the local Rolex authorized watch repairman here in my city and they do know each other, so I can ask the watch repair guy if he's ever worked on this watch before and what he thinks, and I've known him many years and trust him.
