.....its the first "formal" Rolex that I quite like. Comes at a price though...and at that price there are many in this category.

Precisely my thoughts.

A good effort by Rolex, although it does not have as much charm as the 6062 and 1 or 2mm smaller would have been preferable (in my eyes). However and as you say, at its price point it starts running into some strong competition.

Looks pretty nice Nico

appearance! Ticks a lot of boxes ,but at its price range ,other watches also vie for attention! Still, looking forward to seeing it in the metal. thanks for showing it1 Best henry

I think we all agree about that issue. BUT... How can we justify the retail of a Daytona in platinum? Same issue.

Strangely, people don't care about the retail of the platinum Dayto, but care about the retail of this Cellini....

For me,

the daytona has always been a sports watch, with functional properties. I associate it with steel rather than any precious metal as it doesn't fall into the category of decorative brands,of course, like lange, vacheron or patek do manufacture dress chronog...

A lovely appropriate dress watch but ,but...

..overpriced---would sweep the floor at a lower price, but let's see the market response

A beatifully executed dress watch!

I have previously thought of the Cellini line as a 'lesser' Rolex; however, this model elevates it into a class by itself. I haven't found the price of this watch yet, but it looks absolutely stunning to me! Ira

That's priced quite close to the Lange Saxonia Moonphase. The JLC MUT Moon in RG is just 16.800 Euros...

They have been here before

Pic from the net But yes everybody seem to only tolerate their sport watches. Guess that we only really know Rolex from those models. And they haven\'t really had a strong line of dress watches since? forever. This new Cellini Moonphase however looks very...

'Cellini' is missing from the dial

 By: iwolf81 : March 29th, 2017-07:57
I think Rolex is deliberately trying to elevate this model above the Cellini line, which it deserves to be IMHO. A quick scan of the Cellini models on the Rolex website shows that this new model is the only one without 'Cellini' on the dial. I wouldn't be...

The watch is a nice watch but a bit too feminine for a Rolex moon. Similarly, many years ago Rolex relaunched the Rolex Prince watch and somehow, it lacks the class of the vintage Prince as well. ...
