Piaget Altiplano Chronograph Review
Nov 07, 2016,14:23 PM
As promised here is my first review of the Piaget Altiplano Chronograph. My review is going to be pretty much a visual one. Wearing the watch in the first days confirmed
my first impression: a very elegant chronograph, thin yet substantial and an ideal daily companion:
Love the combination with the rose gold cufflinks
The dial is very pure. To some it might be too simple but to me is just perfect. The second time zone is also a very useful complication
A foto at natural distance (close up might make the watch look too big but at 41mm is just very contemporary)
Always a pleasure to work with this beauty!
The movement -- the slimmest flyback chronograph movement ever made -- is well decorated and the Piaget coat of arms makes it very elegant..even on the back!
I was attracted by this watch since the launch in 2015 and having the watch confirmed all I expected from the watch and more. Light and slim yet substantial. Understated yet sophisticated.
Bearing in mind that producing a new chronograph movement can be more challenging than a tourbillon I think that Piaget did a fantastic job here. Very happy with my choice.
