The skinny on new PIAGET Altiplano 900P world champion

Dear forumners, It may have escaped your notice because the new PIAGET Altiplano 38mm manual-winding watch is too thin to see at certain angles Seriously, the official press release can be read by CLICKING the following URL link: basel.watchprosite.com It...

Excellent! The size is good, the volumes are breathtaking

And the dial is a but daring for an ultra thin Watch. A very modern and artistic evocation of the Ultra Thin Style. I love that! BRAVO, Piaget! Best, Nicolas

I am still shaking my head in disbelief about Piaget

Nico, Even though I knew about such an ultra-thin project (9xxP) to replace the old 9P, it was still a surprise to have seen the final 900P. It is s-o-o-o much "outside the case" thinking that makes my old Altiplano obsolete. ;) The King is dead....Long l...

JLC let me play with their MUT. A very pleasant feeling, I must say. But this Piaget... WOW! I have to see it in the flesh. And to try to take some pictures! I don't know if I have to thank you, though.... ;) All the best, Melvyn. Nicolas

Simply, WOW...... [nt] [nt]

I only have 2 thin or flat watches

moc, I agree. Really, a gentleman only needs one ultra-thin watch for those Cadbury's 'Mystery Man' moments. Note to non-Brits: Cadbury's used advertisements where a mystery man (think James Bond or Action Man) usually clad in a black tuxedo or other sart...

An amazing watch!

I'm totally in love with this version: I can't wait to discover it in the metal. It is a wonderful way to give it a very contemporary touch without losing the eternal elegance of the Altiplano. Fx

That is definitely one of the most exciting ultra thins I've ever seen. Just stunning! Is the one in the image white gold or platinum (if you know)? Also will their be a rose gold variation? If these are thinks that can't be answered until SIHH, I underst...

Some answers but put in your pre-order soon

Dino944, The launch watch is a white gold case and the demonstrator piece was also white gold. No pink gold examples were shown but we have to wait until SIHH 2014 to see. All I can say is that Piaget usually issues white and pink gold versions of their n...

Thanks MTF...

all is there, the horological prowess and a distinctive extremely attractive design. Bravo Piaget. Thank you Dr Melvyn, perhaps I did well not to jump on the "Jubilee" straight away;):) Cheers Francois from Down Under

I did not give ANY hint, did I? LOL

sandgroper, Sometimes, "Masterly Inactivity" brings the best results....... Now, if you are in the running for a GREAT chronograph, I'll come back to you all in a while........ Regards, MTF

Surprised and impressed with this Piaget

Wow, very impressive and such a beautiful watch. I didn't expect this one from Piaget. Besides the thinness, the layout of the dial is striking and I'm looking forward to seeing this one in person. Regards, ED-209

Impressive....

but I think I prefer a "real" dial on a watch. The rest of the Altiplano collection is plenty thin and elegant as it is. Call me conservative (but I can't wait to see this new watch in person) Bill

My choice for a dress watch narrowed down...

to one entry… Seriously, this seems amazingly thin. I am eager to see this in person and - particularly - discover the technical delicacies that made this thinness possible. Magnus
