Ah the HCB homage was a reflex shot… note the chopped head. Hahaha! But I figure it made for good graphics so… if I had the 21 at that time, I would've nailed it. But 50 was on and the action was too close. But then street isn't that strict on aesthetics (arguable, I know).
I've been playing around in post as well and do notice a change in preferences. I seem to like my pics a bit lighter and perhaps less brooding. It almost borders on lacking in contrast in most cases. If you remember my Sabtang post on more gray tones preferences, well, it falls under that category for color as well.
What I do is I step back from the monitor a bit. Even in Lightroom when I do post, I look at the thumbnail on the left to see how the changes that I make affect overall look. It's like looking at a painting or a photograph at an appropriate viewing distance with a matching long pair of arms to do post :-p
Just got back from Currimao for the holidays.
Fantastic time with family and friends. And lots of photography too. I hope my daughter didn't hate me for that! I just had to stalk those fishermen for a third installment on my ongoing series from that place.
I think we ended the year right… you with Hokkaido and me with Currimao.
Happy New Year, dearest friend
