You just got one of the coolest modern chronograph. Not the horologically finest, the Datograph, is, the Duometre is, but the coolest, for sure. Huge congratulations and welcome to the ever growing 5070 club. Nicolas.
Fantastic!

It is hard to explain...why does 993 in white don't work and 991 looks gorgeous. Here it is the same. 5970G is not my favorite, every iteration 5970 to me is nicer. 5070 it is different...the G to me is the best...can't explain. Huge Congrats, a beauty! B...

... its interesting to see how this model in this metal has such a huge success from such a wide audience. From the people i know, totally unfamiliar to Patek, to huge patek fans, this piece is loved by all, and favorite by many. I understand you when you...
Welcome to the club

5070G is the favourite piece in my collection and as this model is believed to being only produced in 1000 pieces in this metal also very rare.
5070 in 1000 pieces???
By: amanico : September 13th, 2015-06:38
The G was born in 2003 and discontinued in 2008, so a five years life. At 250 pieces per year, for all 5070, I am not even sure 1000 were made. The G and the R had a common life. Best, Nicolas

I hope you are right. 1000 per colour is what Christie\'s suggests in their lot descriptions for 5070.
years
By: Bruno.M1 : September 13th, 2015-09:39
afaik G was not made untill 2008 but 2006 and started in 2002 Red was untill 2008 but that one started in 2004
I think that is wrong
By: Bruno.M1 : September 13th, 2015-09:53
J - 1998 -> 2002 G - 2002 -> 2006 R - 2004 -> 2008 and then ' af few' P in 2009 I'm 99.9% sure about that
I'm sure
By: Bruno.M1 : September 13th, 2015-11:41
If I find the search function on this site you will find many posts concerning production dates about this reference Try to go back to 2006 and 2008 Probably more than enough posts about it
Huge congrats for this stunning watch!
By: foversta : September 13th, 2015-10:55
This version is my fav one... with the PT and blue dial. By the way, the strap looks a bit too long for your wrist on the wristshot. Fx
I think this watch, I mean the G version
By: tempus : September 18th, 2015-15:36
is a iconic piece, underestimated and it will make every owner think: I got the coolest...don't need another PP. I know, I must, I will have one for sure! Best Tempus
congrats!
By: chuck19 : September 19th, 2015-00:20
best decision ever... the wrist presence of the 5070 is unbearable! Cheers!
THANK YOU!! AND....
By: thomaspp : September 22nd, 2015-09:43
Thank you all for your wonderful posts and support! The watch was a one owner watch which is quite special to me. Also, the papers for this watch are dated 2006 and I thought that was the last year of production, but I may be wrong after reading your post...
congrats !
