The watch stops before the power reserve indicator points to the (-) sign? The power reserve indicator only reaches 20% when the watch stops. Best, Ahmed
If not, it’d be a worthwhile exercise, and compare the time with how long the PR is supposed to be for the movement. Assuming you’ve noticed where the indicator has lay previously, and it was a lower position, then it would suggest there’s friction that t...
Maybe only dried oils ? Only the PP watchmaker will tell you... Visit the next PP Salon or AD and you will have the answer quickly... Let us know the outcome 😉 My 2 cents, Mike
...it certainly cannot be dried oils. Maybe double check the problem is recurrent (although it should not arrive even once with such a recent watch) and surely bring it to the salon for fixing the issue. They will surely provide the best possible service....
Wind the watch manually and check how long is the power reserve. Then you will know if it's just the indicator which is not assembled correctly. The UK Service Centre should be able to fix smaller issues fast. Best, Kari
Do you have a picture of how it looks like when at 20% and 100%? I know from a fellow purist that on the earlier 5960P models, the PR indicator was not always correctly placed on the right position compared to its real PR. I would also suggest (as I under...
What would not be placed the right way is the PR hand. As I mentionned in my previous answer it seems to be something that happened in the early 5960 too and so remains valid on some watches. The PR hand doesn't come back exactly at 0 when the watch is st...
But an obsessive character like me,Would hardly live with such a problem,I know it's a small fault and doesn't effect the watch at I would better fix a Patek at the end of the day and I would expect the watch to be almost perfect. It is a mechanical wat...
We all have the things we accept and the things we don't, I totally understandthat At least, this would mean that it could be easier and quicker to fix? I hope you'll get it soon back and please keep us informed if they can fix this correctly. Best, Mark
But the thing is I have to travel to London to drop it,Then back again to pick it up. I will keep you posted about the over all experience. Best, Ahmed
