I warned Thierry Stern about deployante failure

Apr 27, 2012,13:29 PM

I have had deployante failure and badly damaged by 3970P which needed a replacement case (5000SF ten years ago), and had several failures on 5960P.

I repeatedly told Patek people and Thierry Stern.

I explained to Patek Paris why I was using a Rousseau strap and Rousseau steel buckle, but they simply wouldn't believe me.

There is a word for people incapable of believing their customers and making the customer pay for design failures: Swiss.

A glaring example of a chronic poor deployant design by Patek.

Hope this Sarkozy incident will have an impact on Patek towards improving their deployant designs. Never understood why a company that produces watches that sell for 100s of thousands dollars do not offer a secure deployant that does not malfunction, and ...

Thanks for sharing your concern.

Have ordered one for the 5205 after I was told that it offered more security and less prone to falling off my wrist. You had me thinking then. Does your concern also apply to the Nautilus bracelet such as 5711/1a or 5726a. Thanks!

You make a superb point. Couldn't agree more with you. What a shame! One can only hope and wish PP will take notice and take steps to rectify the same. Rishad

And if I am not completely mistaken: there is somebody in the crowd that looks very much like a well known French watch enthusiast ... ! Regards Moritz This message has been edited by COUNT DE MONET on 2012-04-18 03:24:06

Let us meet and shake hands! Sarkozy's hands at his next public bath in the masses... :-)

I would meet there and see who of both of us manages to get the watch. Thank you for your comment and now enough has been said about this polititian who struggles with his people. Regards Moritz
