Patek probably had secured a limited number of the special specification strap which originally came on your 5070P, but they aren't intending to stock that specific strap going forward for replacements (which is unfortunate imho). Maybe PP could provide y...

I think that strap you got looks better than the original. They prob can’t get a hold of the original strap and gave you a line of BS saying some came with special straps.

I am meeting again with one of our members here in London early December. He is a real gent and truly passionate about watches. Maybe we could make that work. Although I would not be wearing anything too lumpy in London. Would be great to meet though. 🙏🏼 ...

But, personally I think a darker blue does it for me. I'd reach out to Camille Fournet or Jean Rousseau directly, rather than your AD. They will likely be able to color/style match from a good pic of an original strap & have far more choices than any AD (... 

I will give it a go. The really annoying thing is that when I bought the watch I ordered a new strap but it has disappeared over the years. So annoying. M.
