ive not done this yet as I just acquired it....how do I open without causing damage, or do I need to take to a watch professional?

As an aside, I notice these don't say Swiss Made below the 6 typically....any idea why this might be?

I own one of the earlier versions, with Automatic above the 6, and have always wondered where the differences came from. Now it seems from age, with one preceding the other.
