I'm just curious if anyone with a ceramic cased watch (JLC or otherwise) could share their experience of the durability of the case. Could you kindly elaborate on this "3rd world" that you refer to? And perhaps tell me more about the 1st, 2nd, and any other worlds we live in or are neighbours to? I couldn't care less about semantics but you use an incredibly outdated phrase that explains nothing and stinks of little but xenophobi

Thank you all. Yes, very pleased to keep this in the family. Actually, my uncle wore it following my father's passing in 86, and it sat in a drawer for almost 20 years before I took it to a boutique last year. I am almost certain it was purchased in the 1980s based on what some family members recall
