Last week in PP boutique in Genever I got the chance to try both on my wrist - and the blue edition of 5905, as well. My findings: though I have a smaller wrist (about 17,5 cm) both/all three do match fine. Due to special form of case, the 5905 looks smaller and sits really great while the 5170 has
for an outstanding report and really excellent photos! Concerning the strength of innovation in 2013, I agree with other members: Patek did a "ok" job (e.g. 5200 with new caliber) but is of course intensely working on some really new references to celebrate the anniversary next year. Stefan
