I have a date later with 4 other pilots if the weathers hold for some airborne formation practice near Stratford-upon-Avon, so wearing this '53 Omega again. Nothing outstanding with just a few Piper Warriors cruising at 100 knots together before the clock...

I bought this one already in Black with the rubber -alligator look strap. The best watch that blends sports and dress in my opinion.

I do like gilt indexes and numbers on a patina, silvered dial and the "ebonised", aged lumen makes the dial unique. The lugs are in great harmony with the bezel. Best Clive

... on its lollipop seconds hand. I have not found down here in my land a watchmaker specialized in this type of cosmetic restoration to trust the work. In the meantime I prefer to enjoy the watch as found, with only a cleaning and oiling of its movement....

We have different straps. Mine came with a rubber underside and a alligator outer portion which I believe is not waterproof. Can’t find anything online about the differences in omega straps.

I recommend a full rubber strap or a Nylon NATO. Cheers, Nilo
