Team,

Post your favorite Omega, to celebrate another Tuesday.

Today, I open the thread with my Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 8900 Master 43.5 SS:

Fantastic watch, IMHO.

B&W with a processing that mimics the Fuji Neopan ACROS 100:

Let's see your Omega watches here.

Thanks,

Nilo

I'm hearing strong rumors that Omega plans to release a re edition. A tad bigger to accommodate the 8x00 movement (non magnetic, co axial). Cheers, Nilo

When I first heard the rumblings, the projected release . . .

 By: Dr No : October 25th, 2016-13:00
. . . was this year. I guess there was so much in the pipeline already that it made sense to push it back 'til next.

My old 2000 Schumacher edition

Looks almost comically small in today\'s standards and I am not a fan of plexiglass, but I do like the dial ...

This racing dial is cool ...

My first attempt to win an auction, years back, was with this watch. I lost. Cheers, Nilo

53 Pilot airborne later Tuesday

 By: chippytime : October 25th, 2016-05:40
I have a date later with 4 other pilots if the weathers hold for some airborne formation practice near Stratford-upon-Avon, so wearing this '53 Omega again. Nothing outstanding with just a few Piper Warriors cruising at 100 knots together before the clock...

That's a classic ...

I bought this one already in Black with the rubber -alligator look strap. The best watch that blends sports and dress in my opinion.

Not necessarily my favorite . . .

['49 ref 2576 cal 343] . . . but on my wrist today. Art ...

Very nice "rusty"...

Art, Another amazing piece from your treasure trove. Cheers, Nilo

Very nice . . .

I do like gilt indexes and numbers on a patina, silvered dial and the "ebonised", aged lumen makes the dial unique. The lugs are in great harmony with the bezel. Best Clive

For Speedy Tuesday I'll post The Snoopy

...

The Snoopy is always an option...

I need to retrieve mine. The coolest Speedy ever. Cheers, Nilo ...

What could be sexier . . .

 By: Dr No : October 26th, 2016-09:27
. . . than a see-thru lollipop?

Dear Art: Lol! Sexy isn´t it! I found this watch with the lume missing...

 By: Subexplorer : October 26th, 2016-12:18
... on its lollipop seconds hand. I have not found down here in my land a watchmaker specialized in this type of cosmetic restoration to trust the work. In the meantime I prefer to enjoy the watch as found, with only a cleaning and oiling of its movement....

A long time admirer of your photos Nilo.

Nice to contribute with a photo of my middle-aged Seamaster (please excuse the frayed cuffs). ...

I just got this! Is the strap water proof?

Yes. It’s rubber. [nt]

 By: nilomis : January 5th, 2018-15:37

Mine looks like leather on rubber lining.

 By: ripper444 : January 5th, 2018-18:22
Won’t the leather get ruined

Yea after looking at your pic closely

 By: ripper444 : January 8th, 2018-05:58
We have different straps. Mine came with a rubber underside and a alligator outer portion which I believe is not waterproof. Can’t find anything online about the differences in omega straps.

If you want to dive...

 By: nilomis : January 8th, 2018-10:55
I recommend a full rubber strap or a Nylon NATO. Cheers, Nilo
