Stil very much contemplating canceling the trilogy and getting the Speedy and 300 without extra writing...

Best tilogy set after UN trilogy set...

Go for set and go for pink

Extra writing is a big no imo

Curious though why you would not go for the Railmaster. It is my own favourite. All the best, Alex

honneslty I I was to buy the railmaster...

 By: Alex83 : March 26th, 2017-03:51
I would buy the original, still pretty "accessible". The other 2 however are out of reach. To me the SM300 is the most appealing of all the re-editions, but hey just my taste, I can understand why the railmaster is your favorite.

The Railmaster is starting to grow on me

But it\'s \'such\' a small watch. 39 mm is my preferred minimum. Having said that it is a very nice watch.

If you don't love the Trilogy

 By: reintitan : March 25th, 2017-22:00
don't spend the money to buy it (it's not a trivial amount of money!) and instead buy the references you love separately without the extra text on the dial. To me the Trilogy is nice but in the end it's just a box set! The watches whether bought separatel...

Yes they do look nicer without that extra writing.

No arguing there.

Limited edition

 By: andrew_sg : March 26th, 2017-00:40
I think it was the wrong move for Omega to put the limited edition writing on the dial; would have been more logical to place it on the back. Although I do quite like the trilogy idea..

Fully agree with what you say.

I like the set. But not the writing. Reminds me of Tudor writing.

No-brainer........get the trilogy

Again, we are all entitled to our individual opinions...so obviously many will have a different view...But..... ....if one is SO concerned about keeping this modern tribute as accurate as possible to the original, if it is SO important to maintain every t...

Triolgy

Dear Baron.... You're 100% right. I see myself in your words&thougts.

Just saying it as I see it

Nilo went for limited edition number 007. Outstanding. Not because Nilo is James Bond. In fact, Nilo is quite a long way from James Bond. LoL. But because it adds to the fun. Trilogy all the way.

Do you know of anyone else . . .

 By: Dr No : March 26th, 2017-10:23
. . . who has his own Bodyguard? And who has intimate details of what's going on in the recesses of Bienne? For my money, he's Bond.

Young Bond didn't. Retiree Bond . . .

 By: Dr No : March 26th, 2017-11:23
. . . does.

Baron nailed it. All I can add is . . .

 By: Dr No : March 26th, 2017-11:21
. . . that for a collector who comes from a died-in-the-wool vintage Omega background, a nod towards the Trilogy would essentially be a matter of personal taste and tolerance for modernity (which some of us don't have). For the guy who is either new to co...

answer....

.....i see Rolex and Patek as the main focus of my vintage collection. I have 70+% or so vintage in that arena. I see JLC and Omega as predominantly modern aspects to my collection, with 70% or so in modern. It is about what manufacturer fills what type o...

100% yes.

 By: Baron - Mr Red : March 26th, 2017-04:13
I see these as such a fun modern set to have....I will have the box on my desk...and i will treat them with the fun and enjoyment that they deserve. Of course, I have the SM300 vintage original alongside....that helps.

SM 300

 By: Rui : March 27th, 2017-01:48
...

thats what i am talking about....

 By: Baron - Mr Red : March 27th, 2017-01:56
.....you want an authetic vintage SM300......get one of those. You want to feel like Neo from the MATRIX....GET THE MODERN VERSION.

I like this reasoning! [nt]

 By: Arie - Mr Orange : March 26th, 2017-11:24

Exactly!

 By: Clueless_Collector : March 26th, 2017-13:48
Just look at all the PN Daytona...."OMG....that's an ROC...an RCO, and OCR " Or Double Red SD, not just Single Red....more words, no? Or "Wow, that's a Floating "Trilogy" dial"...when auction house presenting it....and the crowd goes bananas....sigh, neve...

am with you!

 By: Alex83 : March 26th, 2017-03:49
I have ordered the SM300, for me the one with more "muscle" and attractive of the 3. And I have put my name of the list for the speedy.

If you can get it..get it...

 By: christianch : March 26th, 2017-06:11
I managed to be the first to reserve, paid and so I think I will get one but is really hard as it is boutiques only I hard (please do correct me if I am wrong) I love the execution and this is now on the top of my list now! Christian

A really great tribute to three old monuments:

 By: massi. : March 26th, 2017-07:41
my favorites are the Speedy first, followed by the SM300, the Railmaster doesn't touch my chords... Anyway, single box, just because I prefer the simple dial rather the one with extra writings. A matter of taste, but the original are so beauty... I'm curi...

The thickness has been on my mind too but a simple solution is to ask

 By: cholack : March 27th, 2017-01:36
The original vintage CK2913 owners to measure the case thickness of theirs. ...So anyone had a set of calipers and wish to share?
