Classic watch from the 1960s

Hi Greg

First off sorry to hear about the loss of your collection.  It is a hard thing to recover from mentally  ( my first hand experience).   For me it took a long time before I even purchased another item after that event ( about three years).  But that is another story.

Your latest  Omega should have a 56x caliber movement most likely either a 562 or 565 ( quick set date) both are 24 jewels movements.  The quick set feature is activated by pulling the crown out to the third position and pushing it back in.  The 56x series one of Omega's BEST automatic movements.  Omega made these is both chronometer and non chronometer grade ( both versions were excellent !).  If your movement was not abused and properly serviced will give you excellent timing results ( COSC).

Good Hunting
