Officine Panerai

I would be very tempted to bid on this grail at the upcoming Phillips Watch Auction: Four Lot 153. Vintage Panerai Ref. 6154 (currently owned by Alan B. aka "Hammer" from Paneristi) and sold as a Trittico set with the depth gauge and torch. https://www.ph...  

but even vintage panerai models have gone down dramatically the last couple of years. Imho it's due to the current panerai CEO who actually didn't play a correct game towards collectors and secondary market. Instead, he repeatedly made "more of the same" ... 

It was appalling with the way they dealt with a problem. I sold the watch and never looked back. Shame really as I still find their watches appealing in appearance.

.. should be positive for the true collector not ? Maybe some people can finally buy their dream-vintage-Panerai they longed for ... or am i wrong ? Filip

across the board. I've seen auction prices that, only 4-5 years ago, would have been..a dream come true. I guess it has to do with the shift from "cult" brand to...middle of the road one! Few years ago only the people..besotted..by Panerai bought their pi...

You mean they "should have " done it with a 662 dial ... game over now. Please not a new one with a thinner case. I personnally like as well the 514 case. But who knows if this would maybe not look as good on it. Maybe Panerai thought about it as well. Ma...

I actually "booked" one of the...Russians. I then cancelled when, at almost the same time they churned out the 587 and his (rather more attractive to me) Marina Militare, which I proceeded to purchase

But I prefer the thinner case. For the 587 the thicker might be closer to the 6152. for the 662 I would have selected the thinner one. Maybe the reason is the Glas.? The 514 has Saphire. Guess the 622 as well. Maybe from production side they cannot make t...
