However I have to say that I find the dial of JLC UT Moonphase somewhat more balanced and elegant. Between the Montblanc and the JLC my heart would lean toward the JLC.

I would like to come back to one of the Montblanc novelties of the year: the Meisterstck Heritage Moonphase. The question you may have is to know why I wished to have a deeper look on this watch. After all, when we do a quick summary of the 2014 Montblan...

A perfect summary!

I agree with you on every font. It's a handsome looking watch with a timeless design. I'm surprised it's actually 10.24 mm thick. Thank you for the details about the movement. I didn't know it was a Sellita movement. I really want to applaud Montblanc for...

Thanks Patrick.

Clearly the strategy from Montblanc is to be present in territories left by others... Fx

One of my friends in Singapore (who doesnt own a mb watch yet) commented that if he wanted a classic red gold watch, he would go for this new Meisterstuck Heritage Moonphase watch. It's very good value in his view for the looks and quality of dial and cas...

Actually, since I change very often the watches I have on the wrist, a PC watch doesn't have a lot of interest for is the reason why the Moonphase speaks more to me. Matter of taste! Fx

It depends what you look for: of course, a connoisseur will tend to favour a "in-house" solution. The asset of this Montblanc is the value for the price so maybe it is focused more towards "newcomers" customers or people who want to buy an elegant and tim...

Of course, we will tend to see some JLC homage here and there due to the personality of Montblanc boss... but I see more a tribute to the very classic watches of the 40s or the 50s. Thanks for your comments! Fx

I finally got a chance to try it this past week...

I agree that I think this will be one of the most successful models in the new Heritage collection. I was pleasantly surprised by the perpetual calendar...better in the metal than can be gleamed from photos. Thanks for the review FrX Mike

My thoughts

I definitely like the look of all the new Heritage pieces however the only drawback for me is that I prefer stainless steel or say titanium. I'm hoping that as the collection picks up steam they will release some of the line in an all steel model like the...

Attractive watch
