One of the rare watches worn daily for more than a month: Montblanc Rieussec variant

May 11, 2017,07:36 AM

I usually change my watches around and few stay on my wrist for more than a weekend.

When I lived in crazy Singapore, I even changed watches twice a day!  smile

Here is a watch that stayed on my wrist for more than a month when I got it.

Something about the way she moves...

Attracts me...like no other.

The current Mrs MTF, who does not usually wear chronographs, "borrowed" it and that stopped my record breaking attempt wink

Molly the Mole found it again for me.....

Montblanc Rieussec GMT

It works fine.

I have no experience of any service or repair issues with Montblanc for any of their products.

But that is just one man's good experience on the InterWeb and possibly buried by the noise on social media.

The average problem rate with my mechanical watches is 2% over the years; if I don't count one particular brand that had a 95% return rate and another brand that vastly improved after joining Richemont Group.

I just moved on to other watches. Why stress?

Thanks, Molly!

Certainly report the good. I have praised Montblanc many times. And don't be confused Melvyn -

I have repeated several times in my service issue threads, I do not have a concern about my watch breaking. Yes, it disappoints me - still a practically brand new watch - but I am realistic. It can happen with Montblanc, Audemars Piguet, Chopard - any bra...

I've always like it

Right size, nice caliber with the peculiarity of rotating counters, smooth pusher. But because of the brand's name, never been so succesful. Anyway, MB gave credits to Nicolas Rieussec for his work in chronography

It's in the past and I've moved on

Luis, I won't mention the brand in public here as my point is "moving on positively". This "cocktail party" and hobby is about fun, enjoyment and positive energy. We recognise that real lfe "stuff" happens and don't deny it. It's just that most of our con...

A very nice watch, the Nicolas Rieussec!

Makes for a very strong presence on the wrist And I really like the smoothness of the chronograph activation and the rather serene manner of the discs rotating - definitely special!

Thanks be to Anthony Tsai for this Bull.....

And it is a very fresh and innovative watch, even almost 10 years after coming out

Such a cool watch with 2 very useful complications.

As for the contest, if Mrs. MTF took it, there is nothing you can do.

I have to say

Molly is a very well behaved and trained mole. How you manage to make her stand and look in the same pose for your watch photos is impressive

Love the design. [nt]

Though the "horns" can get in the way when reading the chrono.

But the readout is always at the top?

So generally there should be no readability issue...

I went to see this series in the boutique.

Sadly, the latest models don't look as good.
