New strap for my Reverso 1931

By: rovermark : August 8th, 2012-02:02
I have always liked Ostrich straps. Recently I had one made for my Reverso 1931. Something about them says "casual" to me. I think it also brings out the sporty aspect of the watch....

I've always wondered about this combo

And it looks great. Another surprising combo is a striking red croc strap....I know it sounds weird but it works (for me at least)... Unfortunately the one I saw was the last piece with a slight imperfection, so I had to pass.

Thanks foowy

I could see how the red strap might work. It would kind of be a Reverso Rouge, just in reverse : )

Maybe a bit too red? Why not a beige ostrich on the TTR 31 Red?

I am not very convinced by the strap on the " Red ", though. I don't know, but I would have preffered a smoother croc, more vintage looking, in black, or why not in beige. A beige ostrich would be very interesting, I believe. Best, Nicolas

A good idea.

Reversos always look good with ostrich IMO. A perfect summer combo! cheers fernando

I think JLC used to

Use Ostrich straps on some Reversos when they left the factory, although it is also possible that there are just a lot of people who like Reversos on Ostrich posting pictures on the 'net : )

It is definitely a great combination...

I thought the same thing. A brown strap on the Reverso 1931 would make it more casual and sporty. I have also ordered a custom brown strap for my TT 1931 and it should be ready in a couple more weeks. Gives it a very different and casual look but doesnt t...

A nice combination

that works for me too... I had mine custom made as well, only with shell cordovan on the inside for softness. Regards, Richard. ...

I don't know Phil...

Ostrich looks great on my beloved Hometime: It also looked great on my World Geo (sold with much regret after the fact): ...

strap loveliness

If you like Ostrich, try - i have ordered from them a few times - they post overseas.. They do some extraordinary leathers - all bespoke and not too outrageously priced.. although some of the more exotic skins are quite pricey! Enjoy.
