When I was young, a long time ago,

Kari wasn't too uncommon name. In my first class in the elementary school we were seven. In Finland Kari is a bit like Mark in English speaking countries...
There was a time when I had "samples" of all so called top brands: ALS, AP, Blancpain, Breguet, Cartier, Chopard, GP, JLC... and ending to Vacheron and Zenith. I still have (too) many of them but quite many I have sold or simply given away. My nephew has been a victim of at least GO, Chopard, Omega, Rolex...
Many of the watches I bought, I liked a lot at the first sight. But then I always noticed that the watches were lacking something, usually something I would describe as "depth". I slowly started to like my Patek more and more and very time I tried to expand my "collection" outside Patek, something nasty happened. Like with my two new AP which simply did not work and the movements stopped just after a couple of weeks.
I'm also getting outstanding service from Patek and lately when I have made some special requests, the answer has been positive. I'll show later...
There are very few Patek I bought which I did not start to wear - some watches anyhow. And when I started to sell the watches, those were easy to sell and I either got my money back or lost just a very tolerable amount of money.
So I have to admit that when watches are concerned, I am pretty hooked with Patek. But I guess there are worse alternatives around.
Best, Kari
