Regarding the dial decoration. It is hand made as explicated by the Master himself

Vincent had also worked in jewelry and learned how to create specific artistic creations.

Regarding dial creations, the fact to hammer a plate makes a smooth aspect which reflects the light and then make a poorer readability of the hour indications.

Then Vincent had chosen to realize himself a hand cutting of a large steel plaque to create a specific pattern with an irregular decoration in the depth and the edges.
A creamy white color is reached by soaking the plate in boiling sulfuric acid to suppress the blackness due to the heat of the weld.
Then each dial (cut in this large plate) is UNIQUE.

Here are 5 VC models with these specific "hand made" dial creations.

I hope you could appreciate the UNIQUENESS of these Vincent CALABRESE models. He is also a delicate sculptor.

Each owner should be very proud to have one.

Cheers,

Patrickh

Got this out of the safe today. Wasn't getting any wrist time. LOVE the hand textured silver dial with its 3D like surface and peaks/troughs. Fully independent 2nd time zone (2 subdials) and date - all controlled by the crown with no pushers. Genius! (Exc...

Thank you Francois

I love the texture of the dial. It makes me think a little bit about the moon surface. Really interesting for me. Best wishes Alkiro

Thank you, Alkiro.

Appreciate your comments. You are right about the "moonscape" appearance. I never thought of that. Quite true!

Don't know that - I must confess

I always imagined it was with a hand-held file, roughening up the surface of a solid silver disc. But I could be mistaken. It is a very unique dial surface. I've not seen it anywhere else apart from this Vincent Calabrese.

Thanks Patrick!

due to 3 crown positions, as I may known

For the Transworld mecanism, there should have 3 crown positions: - first (inner) to wind the mecanism - second (intermediate) to correct the date (anti-hour rotation) and central hour and minute hands (hour rotation) - third (external) to correct simulta...
