The muted shades...with the shiny subdial edges...

In your case though, I think you made the right choice. I think the legibility of the moon phase is not a great strength and I would get tired of it quite quickly.

Checking out some Hublot watches

My lunch diet for the day....better than food (almost!) I'm beginning to like these ones - though I'm still averse to chronographs, but I can get the appeal, especially once they're on the wrist. One thing I can say is that Hublot has got it right when it...

When one checked out more than 3 times, there must be something alluring...,

which is totally understandable to me. I've also tied the moonphase and quite liked it, but eventually decided to go for the more casual and sporty baseball version.

I have a true preference for the Moonphase one

It is nice...

I just kept thinking of the GP 1945XXL with the sapphire dial...that comparison didn't help the Hublot case for me, plus legibility was a real problem with my eyes.

38 mm is the best size

even 42mm, but IMHO 45mm looks like a pan in my wrist. I like the new models, light and perfectly fit

I agree with you completely on the 38mm and 42mm

Honestly, I guess for the Hublot look, 42mm would be the sweet spot for most wrists.

Sharing some love for the Classic Big Bangs!

Thanks for sharing. It's exciting that with all the new models over the years from Hublot, the classic Big Bangs are still every bit as relevant. Truly an innovative yet classic design. Love 'em!!!!

The bi-compax models do look cleaner and balanced

I like that there is a choice for us, and regardless of which ones we prefer, the DNA and identity is still there.
