The "Marine Chronometer" book by Rupert Gould is all about John Harrison's marine timekeepers and the evolution of the Longitude Prize timekeepers.

It was written by Commander Rupert Gould (from the book/film "Longitude"); and is THE masterwork on the technical topic of John Harrison's work. It also chronicles Gould's restoration of H1, H2, H3 and H4 chronometers. Great read.
Not much on wristwatches, but very interesting horological history.

After along move and time in transit I am finally reunited with my mini horological library! Still waiting for a couple more boxes but all the classics (and some rarities) arrived. Have a great weekend! Cheers, Brandon ...
Happy move!

Great to see a fellow horology bibliophile! I have quite a few of the same books here on my shelf as well. Cheers
Thanks!

Totally jealous of your signed Daniels. If you ever downsize your collection make sure I'm at the top of your buyers list. Curious about the content of the Practical Watch Escapement. How does it differ from the escapement chapters in Watchmaking? Cheers,...
cheers
