I´m surprised by the high detail of the FAA emblem (National Seal with wings) on case back of first shot as all the watches I have seen, including mine, show the more rough engraving version of your Omega. May be it was an special watch for High Rank Military? Who knows.
We know so little about our military watches!!

Well, there were 277 of them and I only have one, so I terms of "drying out" I am closer when ....
... it comes to the military IWC 866 which are reported to be six in production and I have two ... ... or the IWC Bund AMAG which was produced in confirmed 50 pieces and I own two of them ... Cheers, HSTE ...
Case backs are an interesting part to enjoy and study...
thiugh the watch owner usualy pays little attention to them unless he is a real collector or watch nut They are part of the charm of a timepiece and can add to the value of it. By the way : please dear HSTE can you tell to which watch belongs the FAA back...
