IWC Inge movement

Aug 12, 2007,18:28 PM

The movement in the 3227 Ingeniuer is about 7.5mm tall and is surrounded by a soft metal core to enhance the watch's antimagnetic properties. This contributes a lot to the 14.5mm height. The beautiful VC on the other hand has movement that is 3.25mm tall and lacks the added antimagnetic protection of the IWC. Thus its slimmer height.

By the way the IWC movement is designed and built in-house while the VC uses a wonderful movement made by JLC.

Thanks, Mike.
